The proposal creates two strong lines of dense development, which frame the nature, sports and leisure areas on the island between them. The design was awarded an honorary mention.

Savoy Restaurant roof garden, Helsinki
Diners at the iconic Alvar Aalto designed Savoy Restaurant in central Helsinki will now be able to enjoy fresher veg than ever, sourced directly from the restaurant’s very own roof garden. Located adjacent to the kitchen on the 8th floor, the project, now nearing completion, was a fruitful collaboration between designers, chefs and farmers.

Central Pasila Allotment 2012
summer, 2009 a planter made of reclaimed crates was built by a train track on a piece of reclaimed land in pasila, Helsinki and filled with reclaimed soil by a loose-knit group of reclaimed people going by the name of dodo.
Earth sheltered house, Tornio
the microclimate of this riverside house in Tornio is particularly cold and windy in the winter. This made the client’s wish to build a passive or low-energy home on the site very challenging.
